Notes:

There are two versions of this album — this is the first, recorded & released in 1956, with only harmonica accompaniment by Paddy Clancy, of which about 200 copies were released.

The same songs were later recorded with guitar, harp, tin whistle and drum accompaniment — and released in 1959 and 1961, using the same title, and similar cover image that credits the ensemble by name.

Only one reissue of this first 1956 record is known to exist, with the exception of the song "O'Donnell Aboo", which has appeared on some compilations.

The original release features:
The "Maple leaf" record label.
The initials "DBH" in the runount
Back sleeve credits only "Recorded and edited by Kenneth S. Goldstein" (later editions credit "Recorded by David Hancock. Edited by Kenneth S. Goldstein")
Back sleeve credits only "Sung by Liam Clancy... " etc; later verisons add "Guitar (Jack Keenan),; Irish harp (Jack Melady)
Different individual biographies (on the back sleeve)

The 1956 release did not have the group name "The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem" at the top of the front cover.
However, this was also omitted from the 1959 re-record. The group name was added to later issues of this LP, probably around 1961.
