In 2019, Crypt Sermon returned with the long-awaited The Ruins of Fading Light, the follow-up to 2015’s acclaimed debut Out of the Garden.

The Ruins of Fading Light gathers existential meditations against a backdrop of looming, apocryphal remnants from a lost dark age. Its lyrics probe the limits of faith and family, life and loss, strength and pride.

From thundering riffs to plaintive acoustic passages, the record pushes deeper into the terrain of epic doom and heavy metal. Even as Crypt Sermon moves forward, one message still rings out clearly: “We’re doomed.”
